How To Make Your Own Envelopes!

Here is a fun way to put your scrap paper to use! This DIY is so easy, and it leaves you with customizable and unique envelopes that your friends, family, and even mail workers will love.

What you need:

• Scrap paper- preferably paper that is blank on at least one side

• One envelope in the shape/size that you want to make

• Pencil

• Scissors

• Glue stick

• markers, stickers, decorations, etc. (optional)

How to make them:

Step one:

Completely open up the envelope

being careful not to rip it.

Step two:

Line up the envelope on your scrap paper and trace out the shape using the pencil.

Step three:

Cut out the outline and fold in the sides following the same way your envelope was folded.

Be sure that the blank side is on the outside of the envelope so you have space to write the address.

Step four:

Glue along the edges shown below to close up the envelope.

Step five:

Decorate your envelope

however you want to!

I like to use paint and markers to do fun patterns and designs. I also use brown paper bags to line the inside of the envelope for a more clean look.
